Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Funeral & Cremation Services and Cemetery - North Olmsted on Mar. 10, 2025.
Ruth A. Spolar, age 75, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. Ruth was born on September 3, 1949, in Berea, Ohio, to the late Lillian and Roy Walls. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Spolar, who passed away in 2021.
Ruth was a loving and devoted mother to Gary Spolar and Lee Anne Spolar. She was also a cherished stepmother to Cathy Baltus, Christine Spolar-Hetherington, and Michael Spolar. Ruth's legacy continues through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She was a dear sister to Nancy Skaggs and a caring pet owner to her dog, Ramone.
Ruth was known for her friendly, loving, and supportive nature. She dedicated many years of her life to serving the community as a librarian at the Grafton Public Library, where she touched the lives of countless patrons with her warmth and knowledge.
Ruth had a deep love for the sunshine and the great outdoors. She especially enjoyed family vacations, with a particular fondness for fishing trips to Quebec, Canada. Her adventurous spirit and love for nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Ruth's memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio (Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, Section 3, Tier 2, Crypt Ma).

I had so much fun with Ruth when we would go as a 4 some and then when we would go to find antiques. Spent many hours talking about her family. Sending hugs to all.
