Ruth E. Suddith, 90, of Greencastle, peacefully passed away on August 28, 2025. She was born on February 23, 1935 in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late George E. Abbott and Ida Mae Smith. Ruth worked as a clerk for J & J Research Company for 30 years before retiring in 2007. She was a very generous soul, doing her very best to donate to charities in need. Ruth was a member of the Plainfield Baptist Church, where she was active in organizing various clubs and camps through the church. She enjoyed spending her free time fishing, gardening and reading. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Suddith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 noon, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow to Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana. Survivors include her daughters, Vickie (Carl) Summers and Phyllis (Bill) Suiter; sisters, Jeri Barnes and Kati Trick; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
