Ruth Ann Tener, 81, of Circleville passed away on November 8, 2025. She was born on December 23, 1943 in Lockbourne, Ohio to George and Sylvia (Zimmerman) Clark. Ruth was a cook for Atwater Elementary School for 15 years and 9 years at Delong Insurance. She was a longtime member of Crossroads Church of Christ in Christian Union where she worked in the nursery for many years; loving on children for two generations, was a member of the Gideons International Pickaway Camp Auxiliary since 1969, founding member of Box 65, faithful member of American Red Cross blood mobile. Ruth was known as “Mom Tener”, grandma and granny to many in our community. Loving and sharing was her biggest joy. Her favorite activity was being the grandma for Crossroads Christian Academy. She will be remembered for her pies and cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Tener; father and step mother George and Flo Ann Clark; son Mark Tener and granddaughter Sara Imler. Ruth is survived by her children Timothy (Rebecca) Tener, Rebekah (Phil) Imler; grandchildren Christopher and Brooke Tener; brother David (Judith) Clark and daughter-in-law Sandra Tener and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church with Pastor Doug Campbell and Chaplain David Schlichter officiating with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Gideons International or Crossroads Christian Academy.
