Ruth M. Terrill of the Cuba, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on November 13, 1927, in Delmont, South, to Ludwick and Anna (Ebersdorfer) Marten.
Ruth was united in marriage to Arnold Terrill on August 27, 1946, in Fresno, California Together, they nurtured a loving family, four children: Barbara, Mark, Douglas, and Ann.
A devoted homemaker, Ruth's life revolved around caring for her family and home. She was a dedicated parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where her faith played an integral role in her life. Ruth found joy in cooking, gardening, refinishing furniture, and sewing, pursuing these passions with love and commitment.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ludwick and Anna Marten; her husband, Arnold C. Terrill; her son-in-law, Leonard House; two siblings, Dennes Marten and Bert Schepine; and her brother-in-law, Arnett Terrill, and wife Patricia.
Ruth leaves behind a cherished legacy, remembered by her four children, Barbara House of Cuba, Mark and wife Kim Terrill of Wildwood, Douglas and wife Kathy Terrill of Wildwood, and Ann and husband Allen Rabbermann of Oakville, her best fur-friend, Princess, as well as her fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Father Tony Onyeihe as celebrant. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Partners for the Cuba Pound, located at 224 Enterprise Drive, Cuba, Missouri 65453 or to Holy Cross Catholic Church or any organization of the donor’s choice.
