Ruth Dolores Thompson

Ruth Dolores Meadlin Thompson was born in the Charleston Community in Delta County, Texas on March 10, 1940. Her parents were Keller Euell Meadlin and Jetty Lee Black Meadlin.  As a child, she attended East Delta School in Delta County. After the family moved to Dallas, she graduated from Adamson High School in Oak Cliff. After graduation, Ruth attended the University of Texas in Austin. 

She married Howard Tracy Thompson Jr. in 1958. She worked as an administrative assistant for Arthur Anderson Accounting in downtown Dallas, Michigan General Corporation, and retired from Alcatel. In her later years she lived in McKinney, Texas where she was a member of First Christian Church of McKinney.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Euell Meadlin. She is survived by daughters Jori Thompson of Dallas and Tracy Walvoord and her husband Kyle of Princeton, Texas; sister-in-law Janice Meadlin of Canton, Texas; niece Andrea Morris and her husband Gary and their son John Morris of The Colony, Texas; grandsons Travis Walvoord and his wife Juanita of Princeton, Texas; Austin Walvoord and his wife Alyssa of McKinney; Parker Walvoord and his wife Ashlyn of McKinney, Texas; and great-grandchildren Beckham, Alexandra, Brooks, and Rainie Walvoord.
