Ruth Rebecca Weinstein (Nee Kenney) 93 of Chandler, AZ, passed away on January 23, 2026, with her granddaughter holding her hand. Ruth was born on April 21, 1932 to James E. and Anne Kline Kenney of Philadelphia.
Being the youngest of three children, she enjoyed the company of many cousins and their children as well as the undivided attention of her mother. Ruth married the love of her life, Sam Weinstein, at the age of 22, in Philadelphia where they resided and had two sons. Ruth was a giving person, always giving to others, which made her the happiest. She especially loved traveling with her husband, family reunions, and enjoying the summers in Pine Beach NJ. Ruth was widowed at the age of 56 and was predeceased by her loving husband, Sam Weinstein, her oldest son, Wayne Weinstein and her youngest son, Elliott Weinstein.
Ruth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Weinstein, 4 grandchildren (Abbi Phillips, Chad, Aaron and Sam Weinstein) 4 great grandchildren (Kayla, Connor Phillips, Mya, Aayla Weinstein) and many nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews, all of whom adored her and her many stories of old.
