Ruth Yanek Obituary
Sissy was born on May 26, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Peter P. and Mamie Miller Papeaka.
Sissy was a retired clerk for Charlie Browns parking, where she worked for 27 years. She was an avid reader and painter. No matter the genre, Sissy always had her nose in a book. Above all else, Sissy was dedicated to her family and loved spending her days with them, especially her grandchildren. They kept her young and filled her with so much love and laughter. Sissy was a special wife, mother and nana and truly the best, her love will always live on through her family.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Carl M. Yanek, sons, James (Shelly) Yanek, Carl (Kellie) Yanek, and Eric Yanek, grandchildren, Nathan and Allyson Kencec, Emma, Claire, Carly and Cael Yanek, and her sisters, Mary Alice (Don) Antonucci and Theresa (Danny) Manges, sister-in-law, Janice Ball, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Sissy is preceded in death by her brother, James Papeaka.
At Sissy's request, all arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800).
