Ruthene Ferrell Swain

Ruthene Ferrell Swain of Winchester passed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Tullahoma Life Care Center at the age of 87. Mrs. Swain was born in Cannon County to the late John R. Ferrell and Ella Lee Lawson Ferrell. She worked in Davidson County, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Swain is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Swain; four brothers, Clifton, E.J., Austin and Clyde Ferrell; one sister, Lou Dean Miller; one grandson, Casey McClure. She is survived by her daughter, Karra McClure of Tullahoma; one grandchild, Taffany McClure Williams (Joey). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ambra and Dathon Williams; one brother, Bratten Ferrell (Frances) of Tullahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted by Cliff McIntyre on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Visitation begins at 12:00 noon followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
