Ruthie Jean Johnson

Ruthie was born on Wednesday, January 26, 1949 to C.V. (Charles) French and Luciel Perkins French at 3:00 pm. Ruthie was the second of six children born of this union. Ruthie attended Dunbar High School in Texarkana, TX. Ruthie was baptized at Patterson Rd Church of Christ in Colfax, LA. and made Bowie Street Church of Christ in Texarkana, TX her home. She worked at Southern Clinic for over 26 years, then found joy working with children as an aid for TISD bus services.
Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Wilkerson, her husband Bobby
Johnson, her son Homer French Sr., her granddaughter Robyne French, and her grandson
Akira French.
Ruthie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother Londell French, her brother Sonny French, her sister Marie Rose, her son Jimmy French, her daughter Wanda Boyd, her daughter Marsha French, 9 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Ruthie will be 12 PM Friday, May 9 at Pine Street Church of Christ, 722 Pine Street, Texarkana, Texas. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Online registration is available at www.haynesmortuary.com
