Ruthie Lee Statler, aged 80, passed away at her home in Springfield, Missouri on July 11, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1944, near Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she became an ordained minister at a young age.
She lived in Taft, California for more than thirty years, building a life rooted in love, where her greatest accomplishment was her family. Guided by the Golden Rule, Ruthie's legacy is one of grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Her life was marked by the sacred simplicity of connection, offering a warm hug, a home-cooked meal, or a moment of genuine presence. She made those around her feel seen and cherished and will forever hold dear the meaningful moments she created.
Ruthie is survived by her sons, Brian L. Statler, Hildon Eugene Statler, Lyndon Ray Statler ; her grandchildren-Krystle May Statler, Nicholas Statler, Levi Statler, Joshua Statler, Hildon Ray Statler, Neil Statler, Baylin Statler, Billy Ray Statler, Adam Tafoya, and Jeffrey Tafoya-as well as twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Verlene Davison; her daughter Betty Tafoya; and her grandsons Michael Tafoya and Brian (BJ) Statler Jr.
A graveside service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brian L. Statler, Hildon Eugene Statler, Nicholas Statler, Levi Statler, Hildon Ray Statler, and Scott Frey.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
