KALONA-Ryan “Freebyrd” Albright, age 62, of Kalona, died Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Wapello Specialty Care in Wapello.
Ryan was born September 1, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Norma Brown. He attended schools in several towns where his family lived. Ryan was a taxi driver for several years in Atlanta, Georgia and most recently for Yellow Cab in Iowa City. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife: Kelly Bauer of Kalona; mother: Norma Bonifay of Kalona; half-sister: Cynthia Albright of Davenport; nephew: Curtis Coss; niece: Tiffany Coss and great niece: Jessica Marolf. He was preceded in death by his father and half-sister: Ranea.
His body has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held next summer.
