Ryan Anderson (Ryan John) 44 of Philadelphia, PA passed away suddenly on December 23,2025. Born in Lowell, MA. Spent time living in Barnegat, NJ before settling in Philadelphia 14 years ago. He was an exceptional hard worker and loyal friend. He would go the extra mile to make sure that people and dogs especially were taken care of. Ryan has been a vital part of Andrew’s Pack Dog Daycare. He always wore his passion for dogs on his sleeve. Ryan graduated from Southern Regional High School in 2000. As a child Ryan was involved with Southern Pop Warner, Barnegat Wrestling Club and Barnegat Little League Baseball.
Ryan was predeceased by his father Robert Anderson and his brother Robby Anderson.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy (Dottie) Kenney, of West Creek NJ. His brother Jonathan Szalay and his wife Jennifer McDonald of Little Egg Harbor NJ. His Aunt Carlene (Anderson) Jackson and her husband George Jackson of Amherst New Hampshire. His God Mother MaryAnn Budinski of Toms River. His sister Sasha (RutKo) Brenner and her husband Justin Brenner of Ormond Beach Fl. Brother Jarad Rutko, Sister Kym Labrecque Prince husband Bobby Prince Fl. His Nephews Cody and Collyn Szalay, Nieces Kayla and Amanda Anderson, his brother from another mother John Campoli and Drew, With lots of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins from New Jersey and Massachusetts.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday January 4th, 2026 from 11am-2pm, with a Funeral service beginning at 1:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NK 08087.
