Quirk & Son Funeral Home - EuniceRyan "Bubba" Chad Gotreaux, born on July 16, 1980, in Eunice, Louisiana, left this world on March 28, 2026, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, surrounded by the love and warmth of his cherished family and friends. He was 45 years old. The peace he sought and believed in was embraced at last as he entered into the tender arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
His passing marks the end of a vibrant, heartfelt chapter filled with love, joy, laughter, and unwavering faith and devotion.
Known for his unwavering love for Jesus Christ and compassion for others, Ryan was a man whose spirit was as warm as the Louisiana sun under which he was born. Above all else, Ryan's greatest love was for Christ and his family, a love that radiated from him and touched all who had the privilege to know him. His life was a testament to how deeply bonds of kinship and friendship can nurture the soul.
Ryan’s passions painted a picture of a man who embraced life fully and with excitement. He loved the thrill of deer hunting and the camaraderie of sports, with baseball holding a special place in his heart. His adventurous spirit found joy in riding 4 wheelers, feeling the wind and the rush of nature’s embrace. He found peace and satisfaction in his vegetable garden, where he nurtured more than just plants, but also moments of reflection and contentment.
Ryan’s spirit lives on by those who loved him most: his devoted wife, Sabrina Thibodeaux Gotreaux; his son, Spencer Gotreaux and his fiancée, Emma Alleman; his daughter, Kelsi Rogers and her husband, Drew; as well as his loving parents, Pastor Dennis R. Gotreaux and Faye Bourque Gotreaux; his brother, Duke Gotreaux and wife Ashley; his nephew, as well as Godchild, Easton Gotreaux. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Faye Hanks Thibodeaux; his brothers-in-law, Scotty Thibodeaux and wife Stacey, Donnie Thibodeaux and wife Tammi; sisters-in-law, Samantha Leger and husband, Chris and Mary Pommier and her family
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ronnie Thibodeaux.
A time of sharing will begin at 11:00 AM and the Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Quirk & Son Chapel with Reverend Ron LaCombe officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM and will resume at 8:00 AM on Wednesday until time of Services.
Ryan’s memory is indelibly etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love, enthusiasm, and genuine kindness remains an unbreakable bond that will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends.
We hold close the memory of Ryan "Bubba" Chad Gotreaux — a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend — whose spirit will forever run wild like the Louisiana woods he adored, whose laughter will echo in the fields he once tended, and whose love will live on through the lives he touched so deeply.
