Donnie James Gotreaux, 61, of Jennings, LA passed away, November 19, 2024, at
his residence in Sulphur, LA. Donnie was born in Jennings, LA on May 31, 1963,
to James and Marjorie Gotreaux.
He was a man of immense heart and humor. He will be remembered for his skill as
a craftsman and taxidermist. He found comfort in his love for God, music and
food, which brought him joy even during difficult times. Though his life was
marked by challenges, he will be remembered with love by those who knew him.
Donnie is survived by his children: Caleb Gotreaux and Brittany Guthrie, his
grandchild: Charlie Guthrie, his mother: Marjorie Gotreaux, his sisters: Sonji
Clooney and Tami Roy. He is preceded in death by his father, James Gotreaux.
The family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home, 4321
Lake St. Lake Charles, LA, followed by a private burial ceremony.
