Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on May 31, 2024.
Ryan Paul Christensen, 46, passed away on Sunday May 26, 2024, at his home in Tell City, IN.
He was born in Salida, CO, on April 17, 1978, the son of Russell and Deborah (Barnes) Christensen.
Ryan graduated from Tell City High School in 1997 and attended 3 years of college at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. He worked at Waupaca Foundry for 23 years, where he was well loved by all of his Waupaca family.
He loved the Denver Broncos, Oregon Duck Football, playing golf with the fearsome five, going to Disney World with his family and traveling. He was always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Ryan and his dad spent countless hours remodeling Ryan's home together from which they both have fond memories. Not only from the knowledge they obtained but just the quality time they shared together through the experience. He enjoyed hosting a family meat smoking day in the Fall as well as family pasty day in the Spring. Ryan was the best big brother to Lauren and Erin, uncle to his nieces and nephew, and the best son and friend to his parents Russ and Debbie.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Russ and Debbie Christensen, Tell City; sisters, Lauren Jacob, Tell City and Erin Fortune, Newburgh; nieces, Rose Marie Jacob, Tell City and Gabriella and Madelyn Fortune, Newburgh; nephew, Jackson Fortune, Newburgh; aunts, Lola Christensen DeLonge (Chuck), Klamath Falls, OR, Laurie Barnes Moulton (Mike), Tell City, and Paula Barnes Davis, Shingletown, CA; uncles, Kenneth Christensen (Rene) McMinnville, OR and Eric Barnes (Eva), Fortuna, CA; and numerous cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Ruth (Jacobson) Christensen, Louis and Mary (Amen) Barnes, an aunt Karlene Christensen and uncles Chuck Delonge and Mike Moulton.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 6, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Social gathering will take place from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
