Ryan Clark Obituary

Ryan James Clark, "Doc," passed away January 30, 2026 in Richland, Washington. He was born in Provo, Utah, May 11, 1972 to L. Lavelle Clark II and Audrey Sampson Clark. He is the third of eight children and is survived by his wife Ronica Bays Clark, his children, Brandilyn Lee Clark, Xander James Clark, and Landen Ryan Clark. He is also survived by his siblings, Carmell Clark, Brett Clark, Melissa Stoker, Wendy Bowers, Annalyn Clark Sheffield, Rosalie Peterson, and Sarah Howard. Ryan was a proud Richland Bomber at Richland High School and was a state champion in track and cross-country multiple years. He went to the College of Southern Idaho on a running scholarship. He married Laurie Jablonski in 1995, with whom he had Brandi. He continued his education at Columbia Basin College and was part of an award-winning chemistry team, creating a "litmus" paper test that could test chemical toxicity levels in field harvest workers. Ryan married Ronica Bays August 27, 2005, with whom he had Xander and Landen. Ryan was brilliantly inventive, had a heart for helping others, loved his family, and also had many challenges. He was incredibly precise–in his thinking and action. His sense of humor was whip-smart. He was a consummate tease from the time he was small and was delighted to make you laugh. He was an Eagle Scout and a NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector, the most elite level. He worked as an Inspector for Woyt Industries for 9 years. Ryan had a huge heart.
