Ryan Mathew Gutierrez, a cherished soul born on November 28, 1983, in Houston, Texas, departed this world far too soon on December 29, 2025, in Marquez, Texas. He was a diligent employee at Big Creek Construction for many years, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His versatility and determination in his work helped build a meaningful life for those he loved.
A proud graduate of Magnolia High School, Ryan was not merely defined by his career. He was a devoted family man, a role he embraced wholeheartedly after marrying his beloved wife, Krystal, in 2009. Together, they nurtured a vibrant family filled with laughter, love, and shared experiences. Ryan’s heart swelled with pride for his children—Kolin, Kloie, Kannon, Kayson, and Karmella—who were the light of his life. As a grandfather, he adored little Kalia Gutierrez, creating cherished memories that will reverberate through generations.
Although Ryan may not have been the most openly social individual, his spirit was undeniably warm and inviting to those within his inner circle. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was sharing moments of thrill by watching scary movies with his daughter or enjoying the delightful craft of cooking. His passion for video games, particularly the exhilarating arena of Rocket League, became a favored pastime, uniting him with loved ones in spirited competition. His heart danced to the rhythm of all genres of music, embodying a love that transcended boundaries and ignited joy in his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Krystal Gutierrez, children—Kolin, Kloie, Kannon, Kayson, Karmella—and adored grandchild, Kalia. He leaves behind a nurturing mother, Stacey Neel; brothers, Steve Gutierrez Jr., Kevin Gutierrez, and Cody Moran; and mother-in-law, Vivian Hall. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also grieve the loss of this remarkable man whose memory will forever be cherished.
Ryan now joins his father, Steve Gutierrez, Sr., and stepfather, Gary Lynn Neel, as well as his maternal grandmother, Frankie Coella Mann, paternal grandparents, Oscar and Juanita Gutierrez, and his uncle, Frank Hubble, in eternal rest.
A funeral service to celebrate Ryan's life and legacy will be held on January 9, 2026, at 1 PM at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas, with time for remembrance and reflection. Ryan will be laid to rest in Winn Cemetery. His spirit will live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the enduring memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
