Ryan Bryce Hicks, 52, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2026. Born in Tacoma, WA, he was the son of Susan (Beck) Uchida and the late Kyle Bryce Hicks. He was married to Zuzana Hicks.
Ryan was a loving father, son, and brother and an adventurous spirit. He traveled the world, especially enjoying train travel, and was proud that he hadn’t driven a car in over 20 years. He loved his work as a security code writer and programmer and took pride in what he did. Ryan was also a talented rock climber who loved the outdoors and adventure. Above all, Ryan loved his children deeply. He will be remembered for his curiosity, passion, and the simple, meaningful way he lived his life.
Ryan is survived by 3 children: Lenke, Tatiana, and Rehor Hicks; brother Marc Hicks; and nieces and nephews: Eli, Peyton, Rory, Eva, and Wyatt.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
