GEORGIA - Celebrating the life of our beloved Ryan Lee Mercy, who sadly left us on June 15, 2024, just days before his 37th birthday. An all-American man, Ryan was born on June 19, 1987, in St. Albans. He came into this world as the cherished son of Carroll & Karrie (Swan) Mercy.

Ryan grew up Georgia, VT, and was a proud graduate of BFA St. Albans in 2005. Following his graduation, he served in the United States National Guard, bravely deployed to Afghanistan to protect his country.

A fan through and through, Ryan had a passion for sports, always cheering on his favorite teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. But his heart truly belonged to the great outdoors, where he found joy in family camping trips, gun collecting, and peaceful days spent fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Carroll & Karrie Mercy; his sister, Lindsey Djozic and her husband Denis; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Mercy; maternal grandmother, Grace Swan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Ryan was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Gordon Mercy; his maternal grandfather, Charlie Swan; and his uncle, Billy Mercy.

Friends & family are invited to Ryan's life celebration on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT to include visitation from 4-6:00 PM followed with a funeral service at 6:00 PM. Interment with military honors will be held at the family's convenience in St. Isidore's Cemetery in Montgomery.

For those who wish, contributions in Ryan's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, VA Medical Center, 163 Veterans Drive, White River Junction, VT 05009.
