Rill Chapel Life Tribute Center Funeral Home & CrematoryRyan Stanley Pruitt, 47, of Belfair, Washington, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 27, 2025.
Ryan was born on October 9, 1978, in Bremerton, Washington, to Mike and Cheri Pruitt. He grew up in North Mason, where he developed a love for sports, the outdoors, and people — qualities that shaped his entire life. He played soccer, football, basketball, and baseball, and was known for his big presence, strong work ethic, and warm heart.
Ryan began working at Donald B. Murphy Construction (DBM) in 1997, the same day he graduated high school, and spent 28 years with the company. Rising through the ranks from laborer to Yard Equipment Manager, he was respected for his leadership, loyalty, and generosity. His office “coffee club” — affectionately called the penthouse — was a reflection of his belief that work was about people first.
In high school, Ryan met the love of his life, Jennifer, in wood shop class, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and partnership. Married for 28 years, they raised two children, Spencer and Sarah, who were the pride of his life. He was an endlessly supportive husband and father, always present for every practice, game, and milestone.
Ryan poured his heart into his community. He coached youth baseball, softball, basketball, and pee wee teams in Belfair for years, teaching confidence, teamwork, and kindness. He was deeply involved in Scouting, supporting Eagle Scout projects and opening his shop to local troops.
He loved hunting, boating on Mason Lake and Lake Roosevelt, NASCAR, college football, and riding his Harley. He was a proud Oregon Ducks fan, a rodeo regular, and a music lover — from George Strait and Eric Church to Mötley Crüe and Taylor Swift. He lived for good laughs, good company, and time with family and friends.
Ryan’s faith, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. To his family, he was a rock. To his friends, a brother. To his community, a gentle giant who gave endlessly and loved deeply.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer, children Spencer and Sarah, parents Mike and Cheri Pruitt, brother Matthew Pruitt, and numerous extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at North Mason High School Gymnasium. All who knew and loved Ryan are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support Ryan’s wife and family through the official GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-support-of-pruitt-family
