Ryan Yong So

Ryan Yong So passed away on June 13, 2024 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was the husband of Ashley So. They shared 13 years of marriage together. Born in Scottsdale, he was the son of Jinsoo So and Sangyun So. He attended University of Arizona's School of Engineering and worked as a Special Assignment Unit detective for the Scottsdale police department. He was an avid member of Valley Life Church. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, backpacking, the outdoors and working out. He will be remembered for his servant heart, outgoing personality, genuine smile and awesome calves. He is survived by his wife Ashley (Schnitzler) So, daughters Emerson 11 yr., Stella 10yr., and Tatum 7yr, parents Jinsoo and Sangyun So, Ashley's parents Willam and Kathleen Schnitzler, sister Haerina (So) and Mark Hong, sister-in-laws Megan Schnitzler, Sarah Miner, Hillary May and 3 nephews and 5 nieces. The funeral service will be held on Thursday June 20, 2024 at 9:00 at Highlands Church in North Scottsdale with internment at the Hansen cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the 100 club of Arizona to support the organization's mission.
