Ryan Bret Stiltz, January 17, 1972 - July 7, 2023 NAPA

Ryan Stiltz passed away in Sacramento on July 7, 2023 at the age of 51 due to complications from a rare heart condition. He was one of the nicest people anyone could hope to encounter.  Although his failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart will leave a beacon of light for all who knew him.

Ryan was born in Fairfield California to Perry Lewis Stiltz III and Dianna Stiltz.  After the passing of his parents, Ryan was raised in Napa by his loving grandparents, Perry Lewis Stiltz Jr. and his wife, Alberta. He went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he earned his masters degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He met his wife, Jennifer while attending Cal Poly and they were married in August 1997.

In 1999, Ryan began working as a Bridge Engineer at Caltrans where he continued to work until his passing. Over the course of his career, Ryan taught and mentored numerous engineers. He loved helping others find their passion and strengths in bridge design.

Ryan loved God and his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, and fun-loving attitude. He was passionate about the outdoors and particularly loved camping with his children and hiking with his brother and friends. He loved baseball and was a big Giants fan. He loved teasing his Dodgers-loving mother-in-law during any series between the teams. He lived life fully and was able to travel and enjoy numerous special moments with family and friends in his time on earth.

Ryan was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily, who he was longing to see again in his eternal rest. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, children, Jacob and A. Stiltz, and his brother Perry Stiltz IV.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 9AM- 11AM.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM at East Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary Chapel, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, California 95819. A private graveside ceremony will follow at Rockville Cemetery where Ryan will be laid to rest near his daughter, parents, and grandparents.
