Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Cedar Park on Sep. 10, 2024.
Ryan Abraham Sultanik, of Leander, Texas passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 27. He was born on October 26, 1996, in
Austin, Texas, to parents Annabelle Silva-Johnson and Bryan Sultanik.
Ryan was a handful from day one. He always kept his parents on their toes. He was fiercely independent and had an adventurous side. Once he started walking, he was always on the go. A high door with locks had to be installed just to keep him inside and safe! He liked to play on the neighbors' playscape. The only problem was it was three houses down and he was only 3 years old. Simple solution, build him a playscape. He was kind and thoughtful.
He loved animals and children. Ryan always protected the younger kids in our neighborhood. Bullies didn't stand a chance with him as he stood up for those who couldn't stand up for themselves.
Ryan was one of the most caring, patient, and funny souls. Although Ryan was only 27, his soul was stuck in history, specifically in the era of World War II. Ryan's passion for history, collectable coins, "How It's Made" YouTube documentaries, traveling and gold mining gave him the knowledge of a thousand random facts. His collection of coins and World War II memorabilia could fill a small museum of history. He loved listening to his Grandpa Joe and Great-Uncle, Clarence Young, talk about their time in the military. If you got the chance to be loved by Ryan, you felt like you were really seen. He had a deep caring for others and would go above and beyond to make anyone happy. Ryan graduated from Rouse High School in 2015.
Ryan's love of food was always fun to experience. He especially loved Chinese Food, Korean BBQ or Sushi. He had a great appetite and loved to cook. His unique cooki ng skills were creative and produced delicious meals. Ryan was the type of person you could call at any time of the day or night and he would drop what he was doing to help. Throughout his life, Ryan was able to travel to Colorado, Maui, New Orleans, Nevada and California. He loved a great adventure. His dream was to have a place on an island or a house in the mountains where it was serene and quiet. While he lived most of his life in Texas, he lived in California for a while and enjoyed his experiences there. He felt most at home in the Austin area. He lived in San Antonio and was currently employed with HEB.
We pray Ryan is at peace on an island or plot of land with everything that brought him joy. He was very sociable and had many friends. We hope he is riding his dream sports car through the heavenly golden gates and entertaining all with his jokes and infectious laughter. Ryan, everyone you left in this world feels the pain of your absence, but we are happy that you are home free and no longer in pain. We will always love and miss you until we meet again.
Ryan is survived by his mother Annabelle Silva-Johnson and her husband Richard Johnson; his father, Bryan Sultanik and his wife Mia Sultanik; Grandmothers, Amelia Osborne and Bonnie Gay Sultanik; his brother, Cameron Sultanik; his step-sister, Courtney Johnson and her husband Carey Ingram; his step-sister, Crystal Zemlin and her husband Greg Zemlin; his step-sister, Cami Poole; his step-brothers, Aidan Poole and Davis Poole; his step-niece, Callie Grace Zemlin; aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family and caring friends.
Ryan is preceded in death by grandfathers, Henry Silva and Joseph Sultanik, and uncle, Paul Sultanik.
Ryan was born into an Interfaith family. His funeral will be held on Friday September 13, 2024, at 10 am at Beck Funeral Home 1700 E. Whitestone Blvd.,
Cedar Park, TX 78613. He will have a Christian Chapel Service followed by a Traditional Jewish Graveside Service at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery 330 Berry Lane. Georgetown, TX 78626. We will have a reception immediately following the services. He had the best of both worlds by celebrating all the holidays. He "banked" during Hanukkah and Christmas!
Forever young, forever in our hearts
