Ryan Burgess Tiller, a devoted father, compassionate friend, and beloved member of the Rockwall community, passed away on January 1, 2025, in
Rockwall, Texas. Born to Linda Locke Tiller in Dallas, Texas. Ryan's life was marked by kindness, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.
For 37 years, Ryan dedicated himself to the heating and air conditioning industry, holding an HVAC license and running his own successful business. He took immense pride in his work and was known not only for his expertise but for the honesty and care he brought to his customers. Ryan was not only an expert in his field but also a mentor to many. He often trained individuals new to the industry, sharing his knowledge and passion generously. His influence helped many family members and others become HVAC technicians and even business owners themselves, leaving a lasting legacy in the profession he loved. Ryan's generosity extended beyond his profession and he was a man who gave freely of himself to anyone in need.
A devoted family man, Ryan's heart was always open. He often welcomed family and friends into his home, offering them a place of comfort while they found their footing. His generosity and warm spirit were unmatched, making his home a haven for all who knew him.
Ryan is survived by his daughters, Lauren Wies (Garrett and Baby Wies), Alyssa Tiller; life partner, Ami Jones, and her children, Blake Jones (Celeste), Ryan Jones (Brenna), grandchildren Augustus and Paxton Jones; and sister Sondra Golzad (Ali) who will carry forward his legacy of love and compassion. Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and beloved friend and mentor, Clyde Taylor.
Ryan's love for the outdoors was evident in the countless hours he spent in his garage, a space that felt like home to him. There, he entertained friends and family, sharing stories, laughter, and meals. An avid Scrabble player, Ryan delighted in challenging his loved ones to spirited games, consistently outsmarting them with words only he seemed to know.
Grilling was Ryan's way of bringing people together. His legendary fajitas and tablitas became staples at family gatherings, and the meals he prepared were infused with the same love and care that defined his life. His warmth and hospitality created lasting memories for all who were fortunate to join him at his table. Ryan will be remembered as a man of unwavering integrity and endless compassion-a father who loved deeply, a friend who gave freely, and a person whose life enriched the lives of everyone he met.
