Ryan Webb

1975 - 2026

Ryan Webb, age 50, of Union Bridge, passed away in Baltimore on January 6th.

Ryan was a caring and dedicated husband to Daya Chaney Webb, his wife of 24 years and his sweetheart since their days at Frostburg State University.

He was a loving son to Teresa and the late Gary Webb, brother to Cynthia (Eva) Webb and Nikki Webb, and uncle to Jack Webb and Duncan Jojola.

Loved like a son by his father in-laws Brian Chaney and John Marron, and mother in-law Janet Marron, while his sister in-law Anna Marron regarded Ryan as a brother since she was 14.

Most of all, Ryan was a remarkable father to Samuel Webb (22) and Thomas Webb (20), whose lives were shaped by his unwavering presence, guidance, and love.

For the past 15 years, Ryan worked as a home improvement contractor in Baltimore, where he quickly built lasting friendships with colleagues and clients alike.

Known for his straightforward honesty, reliability, quality craftsmanship, and easy sense of humor, Ryan had a rare ability to make people feel at ease. Often described as the most likable person in the room, he earned trust not by words alone, but by the consistency of his character.

In recent years, Ryan became an avid gardener, finding joy and peace in tending the soil. Sundays were sacred to him-spent at his mother's home near Union Bridge, always bringing his sons along. Come spring, Ryan carefully planted tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and the occasional squash, watching over his garden until harvest time, often with a Washington Commanders game playing in the background.

But Ryan grew far more than a garden on those Sundays. He devoted that time to family-sharing meals, laughter, and funny moments.These gatherings reflected who Ryan was at his core: a man who placed family at the center of his life.

A "gentle giant," as many affectionately called him, Ryan stood 6'3" with a generous heart that loved deeply and without reservation. His loyalty, steadiness, and commitment were evident in every role he held-as husband, father, son, brother, and friend, and teammate. Ryan lived with purpose, kindness, and an open heart.

A person who enjoyed a large social circle in younger years, lifelong best friends like Adam Shively, Todd Brown, Matt Brightwell, Matt Briddell, and Jon Helta span 40 years of laughing, adventuring, music, and camaraderie together with the guy many just called "Webb".

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Eva Wahl, and Willis and Ida Webb. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him greatly.

A viewing will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 5464 Jefferson Pike, Feagaville, MD 21703 on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will commence at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Ryan Webb
