Ryker Matheny Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of precious baby boy, Ryker Maverick Matheny, of Prince George County, Virginia, who passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born on November 18, 2024, Ryker brought an abundance of joy, light, and sweetness into the lives of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Theresa Matheny; maternal great-grandmothers, Nancy Sanford and Marie Gauldin; and paternal great-grandmother, Patricia Barclay.
Ryker is survived by his parents, Craig and Jessica Matheny; siblings, Wyatt and Chloe Matheny; paternal grandparents, Kevin Matheny and Karen Addison (Phil); maternal grandparents, Kathy and Doug Fite, David Sanford, Jr. and Elaine Sanford; paternal great-grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Vaughan, and Robert Barclay; maternal great-grandfather, David Sanford, Sr. (Marylynn Farlow); aunts and uncles, Ericha and Shane Pratt, Brandon and Allie Matheny, Daniel Fite, and Amber and Jason West.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
