Sa’Miya Kash’Money Lee McClain departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the age of 11. She was a native of Kenner, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Sa’Miya attended Langston Hughes Academy where she played in the band, and she also played on the MLB softball team. Beloved daughter of Kelly Lee and Sa’Mel McClain, Sr. Granddaughter of Edith McClain Ellis, Gwendolyn Lee, William Lewis, Kenneth Coleman, and the late Edward Johnson, Jr. Sister of Joya Phillips, Harmoni Lloyd, Riley Sneed, Laurence Burnett, Jr., and Sa’Mel McClain, Jr. Niece of Sequan Bibs, Kendricka Proctor, Robin Tate, Steven White, Artez Lamon Noel, Jayquan Bibs, Carl Taylor, Ryan (Jeanette) Taylor, Germar (Keisha) Taylor, Thomas Lee, LaKeisha (Sherwin) Bynum, Erica Hurst, Kendra Coleman, Beriah Stewart, and the late Ron Tate, Donald Murphy, Dashawn Murphy, and Jada’h Lee, also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Christian Fellowship, and neighboring churches; faculty, staff, and students of Langston Hughes Academy are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Shiloh Christian Fellowship 2441 N. Claiborne Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Interment: Will Be Private.
