Kathleen, GA: Sadie Q. Derrick, 87, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2009, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at Wednesday, March 18th, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. A visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday Mrs. Derrick was born in the small town of Steadman, South Carolina. She moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she was a dedicated employee of the Internal Revenue Service for over 32 years. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins, GA. Sadie loved her family, her friends and doing crafts. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas R. and Nettie L. Quattlebaum and her brother and sister-in-law, Millard F. (Doris) Quattlebaum all of Lexington, SC. She will be truly missed by her son, Malcolm (Mac) Derrick, Jr. (Rena) of Kathleen, GA, granddaughter, Dana Deloach (Jason) and two great grand children, Austin and Dustin Tidwell. She is also survived by her two nieces, Vicky and Melinda Quattlebaum of Gaston, SC. and two step granddaughter, Gina Rainey (Mitchel) & Karen Rigby (Wayne) all of Warner Robins, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church @ 205 N. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31093 or to the Bonaire United Methodist Church @ 144 Elm Street, Bonaire, GA, 31005, in memory of Mrs. Derrick. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
