Sadie B. Releford was born November 8, 1934 in Kingsland, Arkansas to her parents,
Marion Mitchell and Pinky Wright. She accepted Christ at an early age. She later moved to
Texas with her family in 1951 and united with the New Pilgrim Baptist Church until 2012
where she united with Little Flock Baptist Church where she served in the finance
department. In November 10,2024 she was installed as the Mother of her church.
She was married to Mr. J.B. Releford who preceded her in death. To this union, fifteen
children were born – eight daughters: one preceding her in death, Alice Faye, Nettie B.
Whittie (Dallas, Texas), Murphy Jean Maxie (Houston, Texas), Helen Brister (Houston,
Texas), Gloria Kamil (Wilford) San Leandro, California, Virginia Ann Releford (Silsbee,
Texas), Arnedia Whittaker (Johnnie) Woodville, Texas, Tiffany Moye (Nathaniel) Woodville,
Texas, and seven sons: Jimmy Releford (Marie) Dallas, Texas, Charles Releford (Shauneille)
Lake Charles, Louisiana, Donnie Releford (Vickie) Woodville, Texas, Ronnie Releford
(Antoinette) Nacogdoches, Texas, Howard Releford (Lake Charles, Louisiana), Pete Releford
(Houston, Texas), Paul Releford (Glenda) Houston, Texas, 48 grandchildren, 90 great
grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She departed this life Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 7:15 PM in Conroe, Texas.
