Dwayne Hugh Releford, born on September 18, 1967, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away on January 7, 2025, in Florence, Kentucky. He was a proud father and a generous individual who brightened the lives of those around him with his fun-loving spirit and deep commitment to family.
Dwayne cherished every moment spent with his family, especially with his beloved children, Benjamin Dwayne (Mandie) Releford and Sarah Joyce (John Allen) Releford. He was also a devoted grandfather, taking joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Calleigh, Colby, Leighton, and Juliana. His kindness and warmth will be forever remembered by his brother, Ewing L. Releford (Teresa), and his sister, Evonne Catton (Joseph).
In addition to his family, Dwayne held a special bond with his best friends, Danny Allen and Nicky Herbert, and he was beloved by a host of other family members and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ewing L. Releford; mother, Barbara Joyce Releford (nee Sturdivant); wife, Karen Elizabeth Releford (nee Spears); brother, Michael Releford; and sister, Annette Baker.
Dwayne had a passion for boating and camping, enjoying the great outdoors and creating lasting memories with those he loved. His generosity and laughter will echo in the hearts of his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A graveside service will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
Dwayne's spirit will live on in the stories shared, the lessons imparted, and the love that surrounded him throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
