It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christa Tress, who left this world peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 17, 1936, in Berlin, Germany, Christa's journey took her across continents and into the hearts of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that will not be forgotten.
In her early years, Christa embraced life with an unparalleled spirit. Her passion for knitting and crocheting was not just a hobby; it was a way for her to express her profound love for family and friends. Christa’s hands crafted countless cherished items, from delicate baby gowns to warm stockings, each stitch woven with care and affection. Alongside her artistic talents, she was a great cook, bringing the flavors of her German heritage to life through delightful dishes that brought loved ones to the table and wrapped them in warmth.
The joy of her youth was often found in the water, where she relished swimming, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Christa can attest to her gentle nature and unwavering compassion—traits that endeared her to all who crossed her path. She particularly loved and cherished the pets she had through the years.
Christa is survived by her devoted daughter, Gina Pullins, and her son, Gavin Pullins, who carry forward her values and love. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Ingrid (Karl-Heinz) Beier and Angela, along with a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they made together.
Christa joins her parents Otto Karl and Kate Auguste and her sisters, Lucie and Angela, in eternal rest, reunited in peace. As we remember her life and the happiness she brought into our lives, let us hold tight to the lessons she taught us—of love, generosity, and the beauty of crafting both tangible and intangible creations that enrich our lives.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge caregivers Tabitha and Sabrina who assisted Christa in her home, and also everyone at St Elizabeth Hospice Center.
Christa Tress will be missed dearly, but the warmth of her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come.
