Sage was one of the finest men and most professional pilot I've ever known. He came to work every day with a smile on his face and a kind word to everyone he encountered. He approached every day and whatever work that was to be done, with enthusiasm.
The first time I met him, our employer, Leif Isaacson, introduced him as "Saggy T-shirt." When I looked confused, Leif explained how someone had called wanting to verify the employment of one Saggy T-shirt and it finally dawned on him that they were talking about Sage and didn't know how to pronounce his name. Naturally, his nickname from then on was "Saggy."
Sage touched the lives of so many people and we all feel a loss from his passing. Last October, my wife Mary and I celebrated our wedding at the Red Butte Botanical Gardens in SLC. Sage and his lovely wife Sarah, honored us with their presence. I'm attaching a picture from the event with Sage sporting his signature smile. That's how I'll always remember him.
