Sallie Robinson Lombre

In loving memory of Sallie Robinson Lombre, the family with heavy hearts are saddened to announce her passing on Monday, August 28, 2023. Sallie was born to the late Charlie and Doretha Irving Robinson on November 29, 1944. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers William, James Carroll, Walter Cabbel, David and Edward Glenn Robinson and sisters Betty Smith and Estelle Robinson.

At an early age, Sallie became a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. After graduating from the Nelson Memorial School, she moved to Washington DC where she lived until retiring from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. After retirement, Sallie moved back to Nelson County to be with her family and leaves her daughters, Soronya Hudson [Lincoln], Torayra Penn [Hughsie] and son Colao Lombre [Tracy]. She also leaves granddaughters, Marissa Blair and Savannah Lombre and grandsons, Dasan Hunt, Adrian Lombre, Cameron Blair and Aden Lombre, her sister Shirley Robinson, a sister-in-law Wallice Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There is no greater sorrow than someone going away forever; however, we know her soul is at rest and to honor her wishes, there will be no funeral services held.

The family truly thanks everyone for all calls and support during this time of great loss.
