Sally Benfante, 97, of Pittsford, New York, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. Sally was born in Rochester, NY on March 14, 1928. She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Joseph L. Benfante; parents, Salvatore and Rose (Barone) Giglio. She is survived by her son Patrick, daughter Mary-jo (John) Popovici; grandchildren, Kate (Matthew) Duso, Christopher (Alexa Wandy) Popovici, Lauren (Kyle) Koskinen and Lexi Popovici; five great-grandchildren, Lucas and Noah Duso, Lyla and Lucy Koskinen, and Charlotte Popovici; her brother Michael (Raffaela) Giglio; nephews Mark and Matthew (Christina) Giglio, and daughter-in-law Nancy Benfante.

Sally was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had a deep love for travel and a natural gift for connecting with others. An exceptional cook, she especially cherished the holidays when her home became a gathering place for family and the traditions she helped create. A vibrant spirit, Sally was known for her good taste, sense of style, and unwavering passion. She will be remembered for her wisdom, quick wit, and spirited personality, as well as the boundless love she shared with all who knew her.

A celebration of Sally's life will be held on Monday, September 22 from 4 pm to 7pm at Anthony Funeral (2305 Monroe Ave). Friends and family are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 23 at 11 am at the Church of the Transfiguration (50 W. Bloomfield Rd., Pittsford). Interment at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Rd. Pittsford) to follow.
