Sally Carnes

Sally Carnes, 70, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on July, 12, 2021 at her home in Carthage, Missouri. Sally was born on July 30, 1950 in Carthage to William Neal Carter and Frances Ruth Carter. Sally was a nurse's aide who worked at McCune Brooks Hospital for over 10 years. After leaving the hospital, Sally started at the Carthage R-9 Administration Building where she retired after 20 years. Sally enjoyed gardening, doing cross word puzzles, reading, spending time with her family, and especially taking the back roads when she took her grandkids fishing.
Sally is survived by one son Tray Carnes of Carthage; two daughters Amanda Bittick of Carthage, and Shannon Mitchell (Cortney) of Jasper; five sisters Peggy Ball (Wally), Cathy Cook, Donna Volk (David), Terri Broadwater (Mike), and Tammy Snyder; seven grandchildren Kolby Mitchell, Logan Maggard, Carter Mitchell, Shaylee Mitchell, Seth Mitchell, Shane Mitchell, and Corey Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother William "Bill" Carter.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 16, 2021 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
