Sally Fuhs Obituary
Sauquoit
Sally J. Fuhs, 91, of Sauquoit, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at her home, with her loving daughters by her side.
She was born on January 5, 1934 in Utica, the daughter of the late, Earl and Virginia (Carney) Sauerhafer. On November 18, 1961, Sally was united in marriage to Donald C. Fuhs in Mt. Rose, PA and shared a blessed union of 48 years until his passing on April 10, 2010. She was employed as a cook with the Charles T. Sitrin Nursing Home in New
Hartford. Sally was a devoted member of the Life Tabernacle Church, Whitesboro.
Surviving are her daughters, Virginia (Ron) Gifford, Elzina (Dave) Weibel and Darlene Warren; step daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Young, Diane (Alan) Yauney, Debbie (Dixon) McFee and Delores Fuhs; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Victor (Jackie) Sauerhafer and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a step son, Donald Fuhs and brothers, Junior and Pete Sauerhafer.
Sally's family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pastor Andrew Traub and Dr. Thomas John and staff for all their wonderful care and compassion. A special thank you to Sally's dear friend, Bev Yaddow for her continual love and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 13,2025 at 2 pm from Life Tabernacle Church, 121 Main St., Whitesboro. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit.
