Sally Bernal Jimenez 81, of Waco, Tx passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 11,2025. Visitation will be held at Waco Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16,2025 from 6-8 pm. Celebration Service of Sally’s life will be held at Waco Memorial funeral Home on October 17,2025 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Ken Davis officiating. Food and fellowship will follow in the funeral home’s Reception Center.
Sally was born June 22,1944 in Sand Flat, Tx to parents Bernardo and Enriqueta Bernal. Sally went on to marry the love of her life Santiago Jimenez in 1962. Sally lived a life filled with love, service, and devotion to her family and community. She retired from Texas Health and Human Services where she faithfully served as a file clerk and receptionist and became affectionally known as the lady with the ever-growing ivy that thrived in her office. Sally’s caring nature extended far beyond the workplace as she was the heart of her home, she loved to cook for anyone who came through her door and if you visited you knew to come hungry because she was going to make sure you were fed. She was a woman who gave selflessly, always the first to lend a helping hand and the last to ask for anything in return. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and mother-in-law. Sally cherished every moment spent with her family. Whether playing bingo, watching her favorite movies, or tending to her garden, her greatest joy was seeing everyone together under one roof. Her kindness, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents Bernardo and Enriqueta Bernal, sisters Irene Ramos, Valentine Morales, Delores Bernal, and brothers Nick Bernal and Ben Bernal Jr.
Sally is survived by her husband Santiago Jimenez, Sister Linda Garcia, Sons David Jimenez, Norman Jimenez and wife Trisha, Jim Jimenez Jr, Ricky Jimenez and wife Daniella, Martin Jimenez and wife Christina, and daughter Felicia Jimenez. Sally has 8 wonderful grandchildren and 8 cherished great grandchildren.
