Sally Catherine Miller

Sally Catherine Miller, age 80, of Pendleton, IN passed away July 26, 2017 at Community North Hospital at Indianapolis, IN. She was born September 23, 1936 at Hagerstown, Maryland to Ernest and Helen Catherine (McLucas) Hornbaker. Her parents preceded her in death. She completed her education upon moving with her family at Hammond, IN. She had worked as a secretary for the Salesian Prepatory School, for Cedar Lake School Corporation and lastly as a librarian at the Cedar Lake Public Library. She greatly enjoyed the spring of the year as she observed new life in nature and the animal kingdom begin. She was a gardener, especially flower growing and tending. She also enjoyed sewing and various types of crafts. Most of all she was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She married Everett Alvin Miller on July 25, 1958. He survives her. Also surviving her is a son: Michael (Judy) Miller of Pendleton, IN, daughters: Sharon (Jack) McClure of Greenfield, IN and Janet (Brad) Chaney of Pendleton, IN, brothers: Gary Hornbaker and Sonny Hornbaker, both of Hagestown MD. Additional survivors include grandchildren: James McClure, Christina Stewart, Cassandra Teal, Steven Miller and Justin Miller, great-grandchildren: Kadee Miller, Gibson Miller, Harper Miller, Wyatt Teal and Mallory Zoe Young.
