I managed two small stores in Franklin so I visited Sally and HR Dumplins frequently. Sally knew I had my daughter's portrait painted by Walter (Bunn ) Gray and I encouraged her to have hers painted by Bunn. She loved it. We loved Sally. So sorry to see this lovely lady gone from Main Street. She will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to the family. I have many wonderful fun memories working for Sally for 10 years as a "Dumplin Twin". My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob and Betty and the rest of her family.

May the lovely memory of Sally Franklin Poe be kept alive by all her family and friends. Although I never met this grande dame in person, I have heard much and know that she was truly a pillar of the community, serving in hospital work and many charities.
