There will be no formal services held, as Sally's wishes were to donate her body to science to contribute to medical research.
Sally was born on September 3, 1939, in Aberdeen, SD, to William and Evelyn (Vanderbilt) Cottrell. She grew up in Ashton and Aberdeen, areas where the family raised cattle. Sally always had a love for animals, especially her cows and cats. Sally went on to graduate from South Dakota State University School of Pharmacy. She worked in various locations and went onto owning her own pharmacy- Professional Arts Pharmacy. Sally continued to work until her retirement at age 75.
She continued to live on the Family Farm in Aberdeen until her brief illness in May 2024.
Grateful for having shared Sally's life her beloved dog Aries, numerous cats, daughter Connie Schlepp of Lead, SD, sister Connie (James) Urban of Idaho.
Sally was proceeded in death by her parents Bill and Evelyn.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be sent to Pet Rescue League at 1020 6th Ave SE Suite 1, Aberdeen, SD 57401, for their loving care and help with Sally's pets over the years.
