Sally Marie Stefanka

Sally Marie Stefanka, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1938 in Manistique, Michigan.

Sally was the loving wife of the late Robert Stefanka, whom she married on June 20, 1959, sharing many devoted years together. She was a loving mother to Susan Slaughter and a proud grandmother to Jamie and Crystal, who were the joy of her life.

She shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Gigi, who was always by her side. Sally was preceded in death by her dear siblings Philip, Ronald "Cook," John, Gladys, Florence, and Sharon.

She is fondly remembered by her close in-laws, Marian Smiecinski, Debra (Jerry) Zaleski, and Michael (Laurie) Stefanka, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Sally had a creative spirit and spent many years making pottery, crafting beautiful ceramic pieces that will be treasured by family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting Precious Moments figurines, and taking family gambling trips. Sally was well known for her "lucky touch," especially when it came to scratch-off tickets, bringing smiles and laughter to those around her.

Sally will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love for her family, leaving behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks. E. of Van Dyke) Utica, on Sunday (January 4th) from 2pm - 8pm.
