Sally S. Storms, of Lapel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on August 8, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of Jean and William R. Simmons. Sally married Thomas Storms in 1967, and prior to his passing in 1992, they shared 25 years of marriage.

Sally earned her master's degree in social work from Thiel College in Pennsylvania and dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked as an investigator for the State of Connecticut until her retirement at age 55.

Following her retirement, Sally continued to give back to her communities in both Connecticut and Indiana through volunteer work with Alcoholics Anonymous, where she touched countless lives with her steady presence and heartfelt guidance.

A woman of faith, Sally was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel before moving to New York in 2014.

Sally was predeceased by her husband Thomas; siblings, Barbara Ann Leonard, Patricia Lee Hinkel, and William Ramsay Simmons, Jr., as well as her nieces and nephews: William Leonard, Cedric Leonard, Suzanne Thompson, Michael Leonard, and Frank Hinkel. She was additionally preceded in death by her devoted canine companion, Precious, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She is survived by her great-niece, Alexis Keenan of Greenwich, New York, and great-nephew, Vaughn W. Thompson of Troy, New York, who carry on her memory with love and gratitude.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
