Sally JoAnn Thompson

Sally JoAnn (DeVar) Thompson - Age 85, of Fenton, passed away February 19, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes- Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Visitation will take place at the funeral home Friday, February 27 from 4PM-8PM and Saturday from 10AM until the time of service.

Sally was born December 29, 1940, in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Clyde L. And Geneva A. (Knowles) DeVar. She worked for Lear Seating where she served as a UAW representative before retiring in 2008. She loved staying busy and had many hobbies.

She was a great cook and baker and liked to make things by hand, especially weaving baskets. One of her favorite things to do was fix up and flip houses with her sister. She also loved going to the theater to watch movies with her friends.

Sally is survived by children Allen (Lori) and Andy (Tammy); grandchildren Kayla (Myles) Hudkins, Jake Thompson, and Jason "Bird" Thompson; great-grandchildren Hayes and Willa Hudkins; sister Beverly (Lanny) Thompson; Nieces and nephews Molly (Rob) Koch, and Keith Thompson; and great-nieces and nephew Sean, Amy and Zoe Plunkett.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and partner Sean Denihan.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Michigan School for the Deaf in memory of Sally.
