Sally M. Villanueva, born on May 15, 1945, in Chilili, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A dedicated mother and cherished friend, Sally will be remembered for the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Transito and Nora Gutierrez; siblings: Robert, Gilbert, Mark, Jerry, Rosa, Lorraine, Abby, Viola and Gloria.
Sally is survived by her husband Jesus Villanueva; children: Annette, Orlando, Melissa, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters: Betty, Cindy, brother Rick, and many nephews and nieces.
Sally had a zest of life that was evident in her varied interest and passions. A true connoisseur of flavors,she delighted in her love for Tacos and Spam with green chili, often sharing these culinary delights with family and friends. However, her greatest accomplishment was her unwavering devotion to her children, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love fir them was boundless, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their upbringing, instilling values of kindness, her work and resilience.
Sally M. Villanueva's spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her,as her love and her passion for life remain everlasting in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered
Sally's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 5:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary. Service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. also at Salazar Mortuary. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE 87102. Reception will be held following the burial inside Salazar Mortuary's Event Center.
