Sally Sawyer Watson
June 12, 1946 - April 7, 2025
Sally passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025 in Madison, WI after a battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Sally and Chuck married in 1968 and settled in Deephaven, MN. They raised their two children in the Lake Minnetonka area, taking full advantage of sailing, boating, swimming and skating. In 2019 Sally and Chuck moved to Wisconsin permanently to be close to their children and eleven grandchildren.
Sally loved to garden, and was especially fond of her extensive Hosta garden in Deephaven. She enjoyed taking walks with friends and family and looking for water birds and turtles.
Sally and her longtime Brazilian friend Solange began a generational exchange of children, resulting in a large blended family full of love. Sally and Chuck took many trips to Brazil, and welcomed our Brazilian family to the Midwest often.
Sally is survived by her husband Chuck; her son Scott (Margaret); her daughter Julie (Erik) Cushman; grandchildren Elena Watson, Shannon Watson, Sawyer Watson, Matt Cushman, Payton Cushman, Emma Cushman, Sara Cushman, Jacob Cushman, Ben Cushman, Luke Cushman, and Danny Cushman.
