Salvatore "Papa Sal" Conigliaro

Salvatore "Papa Sal" Conigliaro, 62 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at his home. He was born August 6, 1962 in Carini, Sicily. He was the owner of Papa Sal's restaurant since 1998 and as everyone knows, Sal was totally devoted to his restaurant. Sal had a deep passion for what he did. His dedication to his family, friends and especially his work was unwavering. For over 47 years he poured his heart and soul into building something lasting - not just a business, but relationships, trust and a legacy. He cared deeply for every customer he served and if you asked him, he wouldn't have changed a thing.

He is survived by his mother, Laure (Marchino) Conigliaro; wife of 26 years, Bonny (Taylor) Conigliaro, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Carly Conigliaro & partner, Steven, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Salina Crawford & husband, Clint, Blairsville, PA; grandchild, Lyla Lee Crawford; siblings: Tony Conigliaro & wife, Galina, NY, Giuseppe Conigliaro, VA, Carmellia Thumore, Carini, Sicily, Rosalia Gambino, Carini, Sicily and Franco Conigliaro & wife, Diane, VA; sister-in-law, Deborah & Stanley Skedel of New Florence, PA and also many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Vito Conigliaro and mother-in-law, Dorothy Moore.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Heckman officiating. Interment will be held in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Sal's name.
