Salvatore D. "Sam" Filippone

Departed this life on Earth on September 2, 2025. Loving husband of the late Angela; devoted father to Randall M. (Karen), late Marc-Jon, and Gregg (Robin). Adoring Poppy to his grandchildren MAJ Ashlee Mckeon, Phd. (Mike Taberski), Andrew Filippone, Haley Norton (Matthew), Randall S. Filippone, and his great-grandson Liam Norton. Preceded in death by his parents John and Rose (Albanese) Filippone; his siblings John (Mary) Filippone, Robert (Patricia) Filippone, Clara (late Frank) Buffamonte, Mary (late Charles) Mancuso, and Florence (late Marion) Suszek.

Sam enjoyed many years riding his cherished motorcycle and fixing cars with his friends. He was a member of the North Hill Pistol Club and several bowling leagues, and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He loved listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. and could often be heard singing along. Sam touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a jack-of-all-trades and often shared his talents with family and friends. He was a Korean War veteran, and retired from Sears where he was employed in the Plumbing & Heating department. He is also survived by nieces and nephews who admire him greatly.

At Sam's request, services will be private. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be made on this page.
