Salvatore Garofolo Obituary
Salvatore "Sam". December 12, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Abbruzzese). Devoted father of Marie Garofolo and Michael (Gina) Garofolo. Pop of Samantha (Matthew) Alestra, Michael (Allie) Garofolo, Nicholas (Marissa) Garofolo, and Alex (Skyler) Garofolo. Great-grandfather of Giada, Matthew, Santino, and Michael. Brother of Antonette Diorio and the late Sara Coletti, Thomas Garofolo, and James Garofolo. Also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Sam was a proud 9th Streeter after retirement working at many of the stands and meat stores along the Italian Market.
Relatives and friends are invited to his VISITATION Tuesday December 16, 2025 8AM at THE MONTI RAGO FUNERAL HOME 2531-35 S. Broad St., Phila, PA 19148. Service to follow at 10AM (at Funeral Home). INT. will be private. In lieu of flowers family requests contributions be made to American Cancer Society 1818 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Marie, I´m so sorry to hear the passing of your father. Sam was a good man and I´m so glad I had the chance to see him a few months ago. May the memory of your Dad forever remain and may he RIP. Loretta
