James H Cole Home for Funerals, Inc. - Northwest ChapelIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sam Jordan Hollingshed, who departed this life on September 30, 2025, at the young age of 29. Born on August 17, 1996, in Detroit, MI, Sam was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose warmth and spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Sam was dedicated to his wok, where he honed his skills and showed how hard work can truly pay off. Despite the challenges and curve balls life threw his way, Sam remained a loving and supportive presence for all of those around him, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.
A Public Viewing will take place at the James H. Cole Home for Funerals - Northwest Chapel on Sunday, October 12th, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, allowing all to pay their respects.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sam's life and legacy. A Family Hour will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM taking place at the New Jerusalem Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where we will gather to honor and reflect on the beautiful memories shared with Sam.
Sam will find his final resting place in the serene grounds of Elmwood Cemetery.
As we come together to remember and celebrate Sam's spirit, we invite everyone to share in honoring the remarkable person he was and the impact he made in our lives. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of many.
