Sam Lonzo Paten, 75, of Louisville, MS., passed on Sunday, November 09, 2025 at his home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11 a.m., from Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church, 1501 Middleton Road, Louisville, MS. Pastor Peter James Neely, Sr., will deliver the Eulogy. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery.
Sam was born February 13, 1950 to the parents of Lonnie Paten and Daisey Mae McDuffy Paten in Winston County Mississippi.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Rosie Mae Shell Paten; children, Linda Pollock (Lefonzo), Rose Annette Chancellor (Lamar), Sammy Paten (Leigh) and Angie Carter (Ferguson); 12 Grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Paten, Harvey Paten (Ida Mae), Mack Willie Paten, Linda Davis (Tony), Daisey Lee Colson, Elizabeth Triplett and Louise Tucker; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and family.
